Travel

We made it safe. We got to Detroit almost 2 hours earlier than planed. There was no traffic and Mapquest said it would take longer. I want to thank Marcus for driving our luggage up to help us out. We are now at the house of blessing. We were delayed in Atlanta. We sat on the tarmac for an hour and a half. It was very hot. At one point I think they turned the heat on because the air coming out of the vents was so hot. When we got here we got the van and stopped for a bite. Everyone is tired and we have a couple hours to rest before we go out to get groceries and go to Aaron and Christine's for dinner. I don't think anyone is resting because of the excitement of being here. We look forward to our first full day tomorrow. We will be helping the kids program at the church. I will be speaking for the youth service tomorrow night.

I did get my first experience driving a manual transmission since college. I only stalled once and that was trying to get into the driveway here at the house. The driving here is interesting. The signs don't mean much and if there is an inch to fit you can change lanes.

More after I rest a bit.

  1. So no fun video of everyone jerking around in the van as you drive the stick shift?! haha!
I bet you were miserable with the hot air - I would've freaked out and felt all, "SMALL SPACES, LET ME OUT!!!"
I love you Rob. Wish so much that I was there with all of you. The kids are doing well. Titus face is clearing up already with switching him back to the other formula - with only one day! He hasn't rolled over yet, but I think he is close...we have cameras ready. Mady is Mady, nothing different with her yet =) We miss daddy!! Love you!
